2002 - 2004

Clayton Olivier, a lineman by trade since 1993, along with his brother-in-law, establish Ryco Powerlines in 2002. The company began establishing long-standing relationships with clients like BC Hydro. A rebranding occurs and Valley Power Line Contracting Ltd. (VPL) is established.

2005 – 2016

VPL increases their workforce while they begin to experience successful growth. Their crews grew, and their geographical footprint increased across Canada and into the United States. During this era, VPL provided emergency restoration work following the devastation of Hurricane Sandy.

2016

Valley Power Line Contracting tackles the Global Television Transmitter Building project in Grand Forks, B.C. for GS Broadcast Technical Services Ltd. Accessibility issues made the project particularly difficult compared to others and crews had to really think outside the box to complete the project.

2018 - 2019

VPL responds to an emergency storm call in December of 2018 from BC Hydro. This storm affected more than 750,000 customers and the crews of Valley Power Line Contracting Ltd. assisted BC Hydro in restoring power to more than 550,000 customers, just within the first 24 hours.

2019-2021

The Forbes Bros. Group of Companies grows as it welcomes Valley Power Line Contracting Ltd. (VPL), now FB Valley! FB Valley continues to see successful growth while working on major projects for key clients as well as continuing to perform private services for residential customers.
